Intelligence in Lifestyle

Intelligence in Lifestyle, an Italian magazine and supplement to the Il Sole 24 ORE newspaper, is one tasty piece of work. That striking cover above initially grabbed my attention, but inside is just as compelling.

Under the creative direction of Francesco Franchi, the magazine uses a strong structured grid and nicely combines illustration, logo design, typography and plenty of amazing info graphics. The entire thing leaves me wishing I could read Italian to follow along.

Fab post, thanks. I think the Rupert Murdoch cover is particularly strong. And although I agree that it would be nice to read along in Italian, I think sometimes not knowing a language helps you really concentrate on the design. Cheers

This is amazing! I love the spreads and how timeless the illustrations and layouts are. Monocle magazine comes to mind, but these are even better!

Wow I’m Italian and I didn’t know about that magazine… Maybe because “IL Sole 24 Ore” is a financial newspaper, precisely the most important. And I hate financial stuff.

However awesome graphic design. For once I’m proud to be Italian!
