Laurent Nivalle Photography: Le Mans Classic 2010

laurent nivalle

The Le Mans Classic is a biennial vintage sports car event held near the town of Le Mans, France. Art director & photographer Laurent Nivalle has captured this experience in awesome detail. You can see his complete collection of images here.

If this gets you excited, I also recommend Saul Bass’s opening titles for the the 1966 film Grand Prix.

I love these old cars. They remind me of my father who instilled in me a deep respect for fine European sports cars of that era (1960′s). He was a Porsche man. Thanks for sharing.

these photos are beautiful and subtle. if only cars were still designed with such aesthetics in mind.

These are lovely. I love the subtle glamour and energy of that era.

Beautiful cars and photos; they make me want to go out and buy a Canon 5DMK2 and get my time machine up and running!

Astounding!
Anyone caring to give a hint about how to get such colors? I really love these.
Cheers

Today I’ve published a blogpost about Saul Bass’ Grand Prix title sequence, feuturing 25 stills and a higher quality video:

Just thought I’d share this since the quality of the video above is so awful.
