Obviously... In the Netherlands best Dutch Designers were commissioned by the Postal Company (PTT) to design a single stamp or even better, a series of stamps. Therefore designing a stamp used to be one of the most prestigious assignments. Once you had designed one, you had made as a Dutch Designer. I see a lot of Dutch stamps between them. How silly of me. Of course it is! Stamps from all over the world have been collected, however I thought it was about the investment, but I now see it is also about art and when you view them in a larger format the intricacy of work and talent is obvious.
